The
HP Compaq Business Notebook nc6000 is designed to
offer a balance of mainstream performance, technology,
security, and mobility.
Sporting the Intel Pentium M processor, faster memory
and multiple communications solutions, the HP Compaq
nc6000 Business Notebook is just what the true mobile
professional needs to stay productive for hours away
from the office. This model is configured with a 1.8GHz
Pentium M 745 processor, a 2MB L2 cache, a 60GB 5400rpm
SMART user-removable hard drive and 512MB PC2700 DDR
SDRAM (expandable to 2GB). In addition to the 400MHz
front bus speed, the nc6000 contains two Type II CardBus
slots that can also accommodate one Type III card,
a Secure Digital slot and a 24x10x24x8 (max. speeds)
CD-RW/DVD-ROM combo drive housed in the MultiBay.
Swap out the combo drive for other optional modules,
such as a second hard drive, Zip drive or optical
drive.

For your communications needs, it features a 56K V.92
modem, Gigabit Ethernet and both Intel Pro 802.11a/b/g
and Bluetooth wireless. The embedded TMP security system
helps to keep your online messages and transactions
private. The ATI Mobility Radeon 9600 graphics controller
uses 32MB DDR SDRAM to produce stunning visuals on the
14.1" TFT display, supporting resolutions up to
1024 x 768. You'll love the 16-bit Premiere Sound audio
with dual speakers. The nc6000 comes with a rechargeable
Li-Ion battery pack, an AC adapter and power cord, a
full-size keyboard, a touchpad and a pointing stick.
Windows XP Professional is pre-installed.
